InMobi AdTracker Unveiled By InMobi

Mobile advertising network, InMobi, yesterday launched a new product aimed at providing real time analytics and allow advertisers to measure multiple conversions on either mobile web or app campaigns across all advertising networks and publishers. The new mobile conversion tracking platform, InMobi AdTracker, is touted to be “completely free to integrate and use.” This is possible because it is not reliant on unique device identifiers (UDID).

In a press release, the Vice President of Products at InMobi, Chandrashekhar Vattikuti is quoted saying that the new tracking platform will offer long term benefits to both advertisers and publishers as it provides real time feedback thus reliable and accurate insights into mobile campaigns being run by an ad network. He adds that InMobi AdTracker primarily uses browser cookies to track conversions across applications and the mobile web. It also employs the use of ODIN1 and market referrer tracking technologies for app download campaigns. Such combined technologies give InMobi AdTracker an edge making it very accurate.

Advantages of the new InMobi AdTracker include its ability to work across all networks and capability to track multiple conversion types across mobile web and in the app inventory. Its main selling point is that it does not rely on UDID. Remember recently Apple started rejecting applications that access a user’s UDID due to security concerns that had been raised. It combines multiple technologies to achieve this. It provides single login for easy access to conversion data across all mobile ad networks. The conversion data is can also be passed back to the mobile ad network of origin to enable real-time optimization. The service is free to use and integrate on various platforms. There is an EasySDK for integration with iOS and Android and a JavaScript integration for mobile web campaigns.
